Shipping policy

Our warehouse is in Vancouver, BC, Canada and any landing costs for international orders such as (but not limted to) brokerage and taxes are the responsibility of the receiver. 

As of August 29th 2025 and the ending of the Minimis Exemption, all orders to the USA will have to go through  customs brokerage and likely incur tariffs and/or taxes which will be payable via the courier delivering the order.

Orders typically ship in 1-3 business days after being placed and tracking info wll be sent as soon as available.

Cancelling an order that has already shipped will result in shipping costs being deducted from any applicable refund.  Extra shipping charges will be applicable if an order needs to be re-directed to a shipping address NOT listed on the orginal order.

We do everything in our power to assure safe and prompt delivery of your new boards but occasionally damage in shipping does happen.  In order to recieve a credit for shipping damage, please follow the instructions below.  For questions about damaged shipments, please contact us at: sales@blackfishpaddles.com

  • Check and inspect all items upon delivery for damages to the outer/inner packagings and itmes prior to signing the Freight Bill of Lading (BOL).  Failure to do this will result in denial of any claim without compensation for shipping damages.
  • If damage to a shipment is found, please doucment by writing on the BOL provided by the delivery driver.  Then report the damage to us by emailing at: sales@blackfishpaddles.com.  Damage must be reported within 2 days or any claim may be denied.
  • Note any crease, bend or tear visible on packaging.  eg. "All boxes have visible damage" should be written on BOL.  Even noting the crease from the rocker is acceptable.
  • Do not refuse any portion of the shipment.  if the board has damage, accept the shipment after noting the damages on the BOL and contact us at: sales@blackfishpaddles.com.
  • If the driver refuses to wait while you inspect the shipment note "driver refused to wait to inspect".
  • Repairable damage - pressure dins, scuff or other minor damage will be assessed for loacl repair and appropriate compensation will be provided.
  • If damage is severe or irreparable we will organize a replacement.
  • All damage claims need to have photos of damaged items and packaging. Do not dispose of any packaging until claim has been submitted and approved.  Pictures of the serial number is also reauired for damaged boards.  Please have these photos ready when contacting us.
